Job Summary
We are seeking to hire a Professional Housekeeper to join our hospitality team that will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and sanitation in assigned areas such as Apartments, offices, and public areas to ensure a high standard of hygiene, comfort, and excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- To clean and maintain furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
- Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly.
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Notify superiors of any damages, deficits, and disturbances
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
- Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Clean, sanitize, and arrange guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas
- Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Follow organizational standards and procedures for housekeeping.
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing
- Assist with special cleaning projects as directed and support team members in other areas when necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Senior School Certificate or National Diploma (preferred).
- Posses prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is an added advantage.
- The candidate must communicate effectively.
- The candidate must have eye for detail and organizational skills.
- Time management and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing to work extra hours.
